Coming soon:
Concept Quests is expanding access for all classrooms
Formerly only available as part of our Bridges in Mathematics curriculum, a new version of Concept Quests will soon be available as a stand-alone supplement that can be used with any curriculum.
Coming September 2025!
What is Concept Quests?
Concept Quests by MLC is a collection of problem-solving tasks that help K–5 students build their math confidence through engaging challenges.
Tasks are designed to have multiple entry points. This means every student—regardless of background or ability—has opportunities to grow as a thinker, sensemaker, and problem solver.
What makes it work?
Accessible for all
Each task is thoughtfully designed with a low floor and high ceiling, inviting every student to engage. As they solve tasks, students build a stronger, more positive relationship with math.
Works with any curriculum
Concept Quests provides fresh opportunities for exploration and enrichment. It fits seamlessly alongside your current K–5 math program without replacing core instruction.
Flexible by design
Use Concept Quests with small groups, with the whole class, or for independent work. Educator guides and a self-paced onboarding course make it easy to implement with confidence.
What does it look like in action?
Concept Quests tasks are designed without a single solution path, encouraging students to apply what they know, test ideas, and find their own way forward. Each grade level includes thoughtfully crafted resources, like overview guides and an answer key with background information, for instructional planning or reviewing student work.
Grades K–1
Concept Quests for kindergarten and grade 1 feature seven collections of engaging tasks that support independent choice and flexible implementation.
Grades 2–5
Concept Quests for grades 2–5 include problem-solving tasks organized into six concept categories, each intended to support confident implementation and deep student exploration.
